Parellipsidion conjunctum

Blattodea
Ectobiidae  : Blattellinae

A very widespread species in the North Island, the Marlborough Sounds and some remnant native forest near Kaikoura. Capable of flight and tolerant of urban habitats it is only occasionally seen as it is not attracted to lights. When disturbed it runs fast into any crevice or litter. Its flat eggcases often accumulate in bark fissures of matai, totara, kamahi and similar trees.
