Widespread and abundant in the North Island in most urban and agricultural environments, this Australian species is also present in the UK and California, USA at least. It is up to 15 cms long, very thin and is dark blue with a thin yellowish line down the back. Its ventral surface is a paler blue. It is known to live on a variety of garden pests and others: slugs, isopods, worms.
